Charging your Electric Motability Car - Free Home Charger Installations

If it’s your first fully electric car on the Scheme, and your property is suitable for home charging, Motability will arrange and cover the cost of a 7kW chargepoint and standard installation as part of your lease package.

You’ll need to have off-street parking, like a driveway or garage. This can be the cheapest way to charge. Especially if you charge at the right time and get the tariff that works best for you.

When you choose an electric car on the Motability Scheme, you will also receive a Motability ‘Go Charge’ card and app, which gives you access to over 58,000 public chargepoints from over 40 different chargepoint operators. That’s over half of all chargepoints in the UK for simple and accessible charging.
